Hello everyone ! it's been a while :)
You have no idea how happy I am right now ! 15000 people all around the world thought it was a good idea to subscribe to this small channel and expect more piano covers from it.

You have no idea how many times I was so close to giving up and quiting youtube altogether, but the amout of nice comments and encouragements I got kept me going !

I should probably stop myself before my emotions start leaking all over the place lol, so I'll instead talk about the medley itself. With this medley I wanted to evoke many emotions within the listener, I probably never mentioned this but Re zero is actually one of my favourite animes of all time, probably my favourite isekai aswell. So I decided to follow the same formula that the anime used.

Before I start explaining the reasoning behind the song choice and order, you probably noticed the color choice for the notes. YES you are correct, I picked blue and white just for Rem and Emilia, for me they are both the best girls (though I'm leaning a bit more towards emilia)

We start the medley with an energetic opening theme "Redo". just like how subaru came to the new world full of energy and expecting the best fantasy life.
The medley then starts getting slower and darker with every song until it reaches the slowest darkest theme of the show "Requiem of silence". I did it like this because subaru slowly but surely realizes that this is not the fantasy world he thought it was, but in fact it was an unforgiving harsh world full of pain and suffering until he hits rock bottom and absolute dispair.
Lastly I wanted to end on a happy and emotional note, and "wishing" was the perfect song for this. As rem finally confessed her love for subaru in episode 18, the world suddenly became much brighter for subaru for the rest of the anime as if there were no problems at all.

As you can see, I tried retelling the story of re zero with this medley, but enough about that, let's talk about how to play this arrangement this time.

the first and second songs are pretty straight forward, nothing special so let's skip straight to the 3rd song, I just wanna mention that the piano intro of Styx helix that you can hear in episode 1 was the reason why I love this song so much, sadly it didn't make it to the full version so to this day I prefer the TV size.
then there's some big rolled chords here and there (3:17 and 3:25 for example) for these chords I wanted to try something new, a technique I haven't used before. in order for this to work as intended, you have to hold the lowest note of the chord with the sustain pedal, because those notes are supposed to be a different voice from the main melody. there's more of them in the 4th song (the C-D-Eb at 6:41 onwards)
As for the last song, I took some liberties adding and changing a few things (the most obvious change is 12:10 to the end)
