Our First Date in Seoul, Korea
Come join us as we recreate our first date in Seoul, Korea together from way back in March of 2012! We started off by meeing each other in Itaewon (이태원) and going out to eat Indian buffet before visiting an International food supermarket to try and locate peanut butter. Afterwards we hopped on a metro to visit Hongdae (홍대) where we drank coffee and ate donuts before walking around the neighborhood and eating more waffles! It is crazy how times flies!

Well good morning good morning! Today we have a pretty fun video planned for you. At least I think it is going to be fun. So as many of you know Sam and I actually met in Seoul back in. Yeah, this was in March of 2012. He remembers. Long time ago! Almost five years ago. So today we thought it would be fun to go back to Itaewon (이태원) where we met and recreate our first date. Yeah, we're literally going to do everything that we did on that first date and we don't even know if all of these places are still there. Yeah. So it is going to be really fun. It is like retracing our memories and seeing if these restaurants, these places that we went to actually still exist. Alright let's go have a romantic day together.
So now I'm going to show you how it happened. I took exit one out of Itaewon (이태원) I believe and somebody. And somebody was waiting for me. It is exactly where we met.
So on our first date we had Indian food. Indian food buffet. And I have to get this say this right off the bat. I'm shocked that this place is still open because as we've been walking around Itaewon (이태원) I'd say like maybe fifty to seventy percent of the restaurants have either changed or been remodeled or whatever so we're lucky that this place still exists. Alright let's dig in to the buffet. Let's go get our first plate.
Let's dig in to this. I got some chicken tikka masala and a nice curry over here. So I'm pretty excited. Didn't grab a knife which might make this tricky. Let's start with the Tikka.
So that is a wrap from Itaewon (이태원) but our date continues. Hongdae (홍대). We're going by metro to Hongdae (홍대). Yeah, because apparently we got bored in Itaewon (이태원) I don't know what happened that day. Haha.
We are now in Hongdae (홍대) and for some reason we thought Dunkin Donuts would be a really nice place for a date. Oh you know what? Now that I remember we tried somewhere else first and it was completely full so we ended up going to Dunkin Donuts. But now Dunkin Donuts is an Addidas shop. Both floors. The first and the second so we're going to have to find somewhere else. Coffee and donuts elsewhere.
So our substitute for donuts is going to be. Korean dessert. We're going to have Sulbing (설빙). Alrighty let's go upstairs.
Okay so since we couldn't find donuts or coffee we settled on Sulbing (설빙) which is one of our favorite Korean desserts. Really tasty. I wouldn't even say it is one of our favorites. I would say it is our favorite Korean dessert.
We were talking a lot about travel I know that. Yeah. I think we were talking about different places we had gone to. I think we talked a lot about our India trips.
So we finished the donuts slash sulbing (설빙) portion of the date. Next up we ended up going out for waffles but that is a little bit piggy considering how much we just ate. Yeah, so we're just going to walk around Hongdae (홍대) and show you a little bit of what it is like.
Well guys I hope you enjoyed getting a little sneak peak at what our first date was like in Seoul (서울). Yeah, it was fun recreating that. I can't believe it has been five years! Like snap. Time just flies. It is incredible what we've been able to do in these fives years but at the same time when you think back. Wow! Has it really been five years. Aren't you lucky I agreed to go out with you again on a second date. Yeah, it turned out pretty good. Turned out okay. So how about you guys? Like we want to know about like an important date. Your important first date. Your first date with a special somebody. Tell us how it went. Where did you go? Where was it? What kind of things did you do? Alright more videos from Seoul soon.
