We've been waiting a long time for Mercedes to take the covers off the Black Series variant of its AMG GT sports car. Now it the car has been revealed in full and, wow, it certainly doesn't disappoint.

The GT Black Series is the ultimate version of the front-engined sports car, boasting the company's most powerful V8 engine to date and looks taken straight from the GT3 racing car. And while it looks as though it'll rival the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Ferrari 488 Pista, it's price tag puts it more in line with the Lamborghini SVJ.

Racing car looks, monstrous performance and good old German engineering. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a Nurburgring track car, then.
