korg volca drum + volca fm2 • ambient music

this is an ambient song made with the volca drum and fm2 from korg. i really enjoy the process of programming these little machines and then letting them "sing" on their own and just watching them.

the volca drum has the ability to generate interesting tones thanks to its modulation options and pitch quantization. once recorded, i ran it through the valhalla shimmer reverb on ableton, which always makes everything sound amazing and interesting. ✨

then, the volca fm2 joins in with a melody which i processed using the dispersion plugin from sinevibes, to give it a touch of complexity.

oh, by the way, thanks to the magic of artificial intelligence, i was able to take my synthesizers from the table in my house to the middle of a forest at night, which is where this song takes me. 💙🌱
