In an enchanting talk, ICC Hall of Famer Kapil Dev explains the importance of being passionate in life, and how his passion lead him to overcome all barriers and become one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game. The son of a humble farmer from Chandigarh with a plethora of wisdom up his sleeves, he left the audience mesmerized and perched on the edge of their seats, finally taking a bow to a standing ovation and thunderous roar.

Kapil Dev (Kapil Dev Ram Lal Nikhanj in full) is a former Indian cricketer who captained the Indian cricket team to victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He was one of the greatest all-rounders to have played the game. He was named by Wisden as the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002 and was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2010. He has also been honored with the Indian civilian award of Padma Bhushan. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
