Canada Goose zipper stuck/jammed at the bottom

Every time I used my jacket the zipper jammed at the bottom. It wouldn't engage.
I was about to return the jacket, but then my wife tried it and she was able to zip it correctly every time.
In the end we figured out it was the way I was holding the zipper.
