Straight from our Portugal trip, Mave shares what he takes to the beach before paddling out.

It starts with the classic bodyboarder problem — where do you safely stash your car key? But in true Mave style, one little waterproof bag somehow turns into a full beach survival kit.

Wax, sun cream, GoPro, Vaseline for fin rub, spare fin tethers, leash plug, ear plugs, emergency coffee money… and even a Swiss Army knife, just in case.

A simple tip, but a useful one if you’re heading out for a long session and want a few essentials close by.
