CNN anchor Rahel Solomon announces exit from 'Early Start' @CNN

Prominent CNN anchor Rahel Solomon announced that she's leaving the network's weekday early-morning news program.

She teased her upcoming farewell live on "Early Start with Rahel Solomon" on Monday, March 23.

"I have decided that this will be my last week at CNN. More to come on what's next for me," Solomon stated. "But I'm really excited about this next chapter. For now, a huge...thank you to the team here on 'Early Start.'"

Solomon served as a CNN anchor and correspondent for the 5 a.m. slated news show. During her stint at the network, which began in 2022, she has reported on business and economic news.

"I have covered everything from inflation to the job market and everything in between. It has been an honor. It has been a privilege," she added.

Prior to CNN, the journalist worked at CNBC, and according to her bio, was a news anchor at Philadelphia's CBS3. She is an alumna of St. John's University and Northwestern University.

Soloman's last day on air is Friday, March 27. In a statement to Deadline, a network spokesperson said they are "supportive" of Solomon's decision and "wish her all the best in her next chapter."
