Oaxaca, Mexico Wedding // Tim & Millette
Beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico Wedding!
Here is a wedding that I feel so lucky to have been apart of! I remember when Millette and Tim first reached out to my wife Peyton about their wedding. She came in the room and was so excited to tell me all the details about they had for their wedding day. She was telling me about how Millette was a travel blogger, about the authentic Mexican culture that was going to be involved, how there was going going to be A PARADE! My mind just started flooding with ideas. I felt so lucky to be included in the plans for this wedding day.
Before the wedding day was even here, Peyton and I got Tim and Millette’s wedding invitation that summarized their entire relationship in an animation! I then knew how special these two human’s were. I couldn't believe the creativity and detail that they put into every second of their wedding day.
When meeting them in person for the first time, I remember getting out of the taxi at our hotel and being greeted by the warmest welcome from Tim, Millette, their family, and their friends. Everyone’s genuine caring nature never stopped flowing from there. Throughout their entire day both Tim and Millette seemed to care more about everyone else on THEIR big day, asking if anyone needed anything- making sure everyone was well taken care of. I feel like that was a testament to both of them as a couple.
The wedding festivities were kicked off the day before the wedding with a festival like parade honoring both Tim and Millette! The parade included two larger than life puppets that looked like them both, traditional dancing, a band, a huge “spinning ball” with their names on it, and of course family and friends to celebrate with. I remember seeing the pure joy on everyone’s faces as everyone tried to soak in every minute of that amazing day.
The next morning was their wedding day. In summary, what I remember most about their day was that amongst all of the different changes that happened ALL IN ONE DAY- Tim and Millette made the most of every turn and change that happened that day. There was the getting ready, the preparation for the ceremony, the first look, the rain amidst the start of the ceremony, the change of the ceremony location MID-CEREMONY, the reception with a mariachi band, tears, smiles, and laughter during their first dances, and partying the night away. Throughout all of that though, they both remained calm, happy, and seemingly balanced one another through it all. These two humans are truly special, and are clearly meant to be together. As I’m sitting here reflecting, I truly do just feel thankful to have been apart of their day. Cheers to you Tim and Millette!
