Gram flour (Besan) – ½ cup

Curd – ¾ cup

Salt – to taste

Water – as needed

Baking soda – ½ tsp

Water (for activating soda) – 1 tbsp

Vegetable Purees:

Carrot Layer:

Chopped carrot – ¼ cup

Ginger & green chilli – as per taste

Water – 2–3 tbsp

Beetroot Layer:

Chopped beetroot – ¼ cup

Ginger, green chilli & coriander leaves – as per taste

Water – 2–3 tbsp

Green Peas Layer:

Chopped green peas – ¼ cup

Ginger, green chilli & coriander – as per taste

Water – 2–3 tbsp

Tempering:

Oil – 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

Sesame seeds – ½ tsp

A pinch of asafoetida/hing

Curry leaves – few

Dry red chillies – 1–2
