Bushmaster fires missile for first time | 7NEWS

The Australian-made Bushmaster military vehicle has successfully fired a Naval Strike Missile for the first time, with manufacturers Thales and Kongsberg dubbing the new system 'Strikemaster'. The live-firing test was conducted in Norway, transforming the troop-carrying vehicle into a land-based platform capable of striking ships at sea from distances up to 500 kilometres. The Australian Defence Force is considering the Strikemaster as an alternative to the Lockheed Martin HIMARS system, with a decision expected by the end of the year.
