Talking about my Jackson JS22-7 with Bareknuckle Aftermath Pickups
In this video I describe my experience of buying the very affordable Jackson JS22-7 and my subsequent upgrading of the guitar with a Bareknuckle Pickups Aftermath Humbucker set.
For the clean and semi-clean guitar parts you can hear throughout the video, the signal chain is as follows:
Jackson JS22-7 with Bareknuckle Aftermath Humbuckers
Maxon CP9 Pro+ Compression Pedal
Line 6 DL4 Delay Pedal
Peavey 6505 MH through a Zilla Fatboy 2x12/ Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue (depending on the part. The slightly gritty cleans are the Peavey, the very clean, cleans are the Fender!)
Both amps were recorded with an SM57 microphone.
Mixing and mastering were both done in Logic Pro X.
It is important to note that this guitar can sound awesome with the stock pickups too. Check out this guys video: https://youtu.be/WhWxMNBtlTs
