Frog's Leap Owner, Founder and Winemaker John Williams along with his son and fellow Winemaker Rory, focus on the two classic Napa Valley varieties Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, by telling the stories behind their signature wines: Chardonnay " Shale and Stone" 2018 and Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown 2017. John shares his Chardonnay inspiration and how he achieves it through the "Shale" of the Truchard Vineyard in Carneros and the "Stone" of maturing the wine in concrete. Rory explains the challenges of the 2017 vintage, and how it resulted in a Cabernet Sauvignon with even more dark fruit and richness than other recent years.
