Hyundai Drops New Commercial for the IONIQ5 featuring Jason Bateman playing roles throughout history

I'm not one to talk about commercials but this one is quite epic and features one of my favorite actors - Jason Bateman. In this unexpectedly entertaining commercial, Jason Bateman embarks on an evolutionary voyage through time, culminating in the debut of the Hyundai IONIQ 5.

Starting as a caveman the commercial weaves through pinnacle points in history including the Roman Empire, the middle ages, the victorian empire, the turn of the century, the 60s, the 80s, and then to the present day. I can only imagine the cost.

The IONIQ 5 features are totally electric inside and out, with optional two-way charging, an adjustable center console, and a spacious cabin. However, supplies are EXTREMELY LIMITED, to put it mildly. 

According to a Hyundai spokesperson "The 2022 IONIQ 5 is only accessible in a few states and in extremely restricted quantities". The vehicle also features two-way (Bi-directional) charging. 

However when the battery discharge limit exceeds 20%, Hyundai warns that two-way charging will drain the battery and render it useless. Therefore, when employing this function, not all electrical equipment will work properly.

They also suggest that you do not make use of tools that require a constant power source and limit appliance use to 16 amps. In other words, use two-way charging sparingly. However, it is nice to have, and Tesla should consider unlocking this feature to its customers.
