YCAT Mini Masterclasses #11- Chausson: Chanson perpétuelle - explained by Ema Nikolovska

Leading up to the Banff International String Quartet Festival, where Ema Nikolovska performs Chausson’s Chanson perpétuelle she explains her song learning process and the importance of establishing a relationship with the text.

In 2019, mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska was selected as a BBC New Generation Artist and YCAT Artist. For 4 episodes she is going to guide you through the top tips of programming. Ema has also won 1st Prize at the International Vocal Competition in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and the Ferrier Loveday Song Prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards. In the 2020/21 season Ema joins the Berlin Staatsoper International Studio, where she will initially cover and perform roles in Hansel and Gretel, The Magic Flute, Idomeneo and Babylon (Jorg Widmann).
