"Elemental" Music: Wind across the elements of the antenna at the Northern Utah WebSDR.

While we were on-site, we heard some ethereal noises coming from above when we were near the tower. Because we still had the boom lift on site, we went up 53 feet (16 meters) to satisfy a hunch: The "new" beam - a KLM 10-30-7LPA - was resonating, like a set of organ pipes, from the wind blowing across it.

To remove some of the wind noise, the audio for the "music" was run through the same DSP noise reduction filter that is found on the Northern Utah WebSDRs. In the background, you can hear birds chirping, a bit of clanking when the boom touched the boom lift, and the traffic on the highway some distance away.
