DIY Hot Glue Geode

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back! Today we’re making our first real craft with my new glue gun. I have a bunch of glue sticks for my old glue gun which I no longer need. So I’m going to turn them into fabulous crafts instead!

We’re starting with a Hot Glue Geode. This is a long, but simple craft. You need some foil, markers, paint and hot glue. That’s it!

First off, create a little impression or cup with your foil and fill it with hot glue to start. That’s your base. Next, chop your glue sticks into different lengths, and cut a diagonal tip off those to create long and very small crystals. After that, dice up some glue for your druzy.

Take your markers and color the hot glue cup and bottom of your crystals and glue them flat side down in a crystalline formation. Big crystals go in the center, small ones go on the outside and the finely chopped druzy goes all over the top.

Next, trim your foil right up into the crystal edge and paint the bottom to look like dirt with brown acrylic paint mixed with baking soda.

That’s it! You’ve got a fun and fabulous little hot glue geode to admire.

Hope you like it!

Also, this is my new glue gun and I love it:
