15 min chana Masala/Vegan Indian chickpea curry recipe

Chana Masala or Indian chickpea curry is the food that I make whenever I feel I need some comfort because this is exactly what it is, a hug in a bowl. It is dead simple to make but the vibrancy of the dish makes it look like you've been slaving away in the kitchen for hours!

Ingredients for 15 min chana Masala/Indian chickpea curry recipe:
2 cups of cooked chickpeas

1 tin of tomatoes or 3 small tomatoes finely chopped

1 onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 bay leaf

2 tsp cumin seeds

2 tsp mustard seeds

1 whole green chili

1 green chili, chopped (optional)

1/2 Tsp ginger powder

1/3 Tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp fenugreek powder

1/3 tsp asafoetida

1/3 spoon of chili powder (optional)

2 tsp of curry powder

2 tsp of garam masala

1 can of coconut milk (optional)

fresh cilantro

vegetable oil
