My Pick Kits
This latest installment in my periodic "hacker gear" video series focuses on the pick kits that I tend to have with me, either in my pocket or in my bag. (Yes, the green bag which was seen in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUSNl58NSpY a little while back.)
I did a blog post some time ago (still seen online here... https://deviating.net/words/?p=561) where I talked about pick kits that I carry, but it has become outdated. Hence, this video was born. :-)
I plan to update this description with some links to various items you see in the video when I have the time. For now, I can say that the case itself was a gift from a locksmith friend back in NJ years and years ago. The closest thing to it nowadays is this zipping and folding leather case by Southern Specialties / Hard Case Survival... http://www.hardcasesurvival.com/leather-pick-case/
The picks and turner tools are all based on ones we produce and sell via TOOOL... https://toool.us/equipment.html
The traveler hook, mini jim, warded picks, jigglers, ez decoders, impression file, cuff shim, and tiny comb tool are all available at Red Team Tools... https://redteamtools.com/
The 5-in-1 key metal key decoder gauge is made by LAB and shows up in various supply catalogs... https://www.americankeysupply.com/product/lab-5-in-1-key-gauge-decoder-lkg001-2456
LAB also makes those tiny pinning tweezers... http://www.lockmasters.com/formed-end-tweezers-lablzt1
Lockmasters is also a fine source for safe lock change keys... http://www.lockmasters.com/sg-6730-series-mechanical-safe-lock-change-key-sg6720chg
It looks like Barret Brockhage sells the old Weiser shim tool... https://www.lockpicks.com/wei1425.html
The folk at SEREpick are the only good source I know for the diamond wire blade... https://www.serepick.com/products/70mm-diamond-wire-blade.html
If there are any other questions you have, don't hesitate to ask! :-)
