After owning one of the best EVs on the market — my 2021 Tesla Model 3 Performance — I’ve done something completely irrational…

I bought an Alpine A110.

On paper, this makes absolutely no sense.

The Tesla was faster, cheaper to run, more practical, more reliable, packed with technology and probably the better car in almost every measurable way.

But the Alpine?
It makes me grin like a complete idiot.

This lightweight French sports car weighs just 1,100kg, has a tiny 1.8 turbo petrol engine, rear-wheel drive, incredible handling and feels like an old-school analogue sports car in a world full of silent digital appliances.
