Hyena Den Excitement at Tanda Tula Safari Camp
Guests at our tented bush camp were treated to a sighting of a number of Hyena interacting at their den. The Hyena is primarily a scavenger, though they will occasionally go after smaller game if the opportunity presents itself. Most evenings at our safari camp guests will hear them calling as they communicate with each other. There are various such dens throughout the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and watching the interaction between family members always adds to a special African safari experience.
