'They failed her:' Family of Spc. Vanessa Guillen demands transparency from U.S. Army

This video was translated by Statesman photojournalist Lola Gomez.

The Guillen family continues to seek justice and demand transparency from the U.S. Army after Spc. Vanessa Guillen was murdered by Spc. Aaron Robinson at Fort Hood near Killeen, Texas on April 22. The Guillens believe the case remains riddled with questionable details that investigators refuse to clarify. Vanessa's death sparked outrage across the nation, starting the hashtag #IAMVANESSAGUILLEN, which went viral on social media. The hashtag became a platform where service members shared their own experiences of sexual harassment and assault. Now the family calls for a congressional investigation into Fort Hood and the Army's handling of Vanessa's case. "I know that this is not going to bring back my daughter," Gloria said. "But, justice will be done."
