AIDA Aura Highlights Haugesund in Norway

In March 2020 we drove to Norway with the AIDA Aura. Our first stop was Haugesund. The city is not particularly big, so everything can be done on foot.

We walked from the ship in the harbor over a bridge into the city center. There we went past the Var Frelsers Church and the tourist information office in the northern district with the beautiful old houses. From there, we continued to the Haraldshaugen Monument, which is one of the city's greatest sights.

Since we still had a lot of time, we walked to the small lighthouse at Kvalsvik Bay. The lighthouse stands on a rocky promontory and the water sloshes up the rocks in a stormy sea with impressive surf.
