WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED STARTING POINTS?
Whilst the perfect grind setting of course varies from coffee to coffee, here are some good starting points for you:
- 5–10 Clicks for Ibrik.
- 10–15 Clicks for Espresso.
- 15–20 Clicks for a Bialetti or stovetop coffee pot.
- 22–32 Clicks for a pour over filter coffee (depending on dose and brewer).
- 25–-30 Clicks for Cupping and French Press.
- 30–35 Clicks for a Karlsbad Coffee Maker.
- Aeropress? Well, that depends on your recipe ;)!
Grinding coffee with the Comandante C40 (MK3) Nitro Blade Grinder is an experience as much as it is a process. The 100% Natural Oak Wood knob fits the hand perfectly. The rugged stainless steel body is sturdy and durable. The high-alloyed, high-nitrogen stainless steel burrs grind the coffee beans with uniform precision and propel fresh aromas into the air.

High-alloyed, high-nitrogen steel is a difficult material to master, but the German designers and engineers behind the Comandante C40 grinder weren’t looking for the easy way out. The burrs are extremely sharp, very durable, and resist wear and tear in a way other burrs cannot. A reliable grinder is the most important piece of equipment in a coffee brewer’s arsenal, and this one is built to last.

The grinder includes a clear and a brown jar for grinding into and storing beans.
