1000rwhp Camaro ZL1 Twin Turbo - JH

This was a fun one to do, having worked with the guys at AGP Turbo plenty before. We are no stranger to their twin turbo kit. So converting this customers ZL1 from roots to twin turbo was just another day at the office.

Along the way we found some issues with existing fuel system that had to be corrected. Did a few tweaks to the kit related to it being a ZL1 instead of a SS. Plus dropped in a new Mantic Clutch triple disc clutch as part of the overhaul.

The real spin on this job was the exhaust, we had to modify it as it was almost 200hp restriction in power due to the muffler design, caught us by surprise for sure. It also whistles under boost, which was a new one for us since we don't run this brand very often.

With a few changes to the exhaust configuration power went from high 700's at 14psi of boost (with 19psi springs in the wastegates), to over 1050rwhp at 20psi of boost with the same wastegate springs still installed!

Seeing as this is a factory rotating assembly LSA motor, we elected to turn the power down to just at 1000rwhp for now. Plans for a forged rotating assembly are in the works and then we will let her have all the boost!
