Lucy Barter of the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design uses the lessons of May's stitches and the materials she used to examine her talents as a designer, embroiderer, and the driving force behind the survival of Morris & Co. after her father's death, as well as the role May Morris plays in today’s world of needlework.
