Roller Shoot ICE Level 05 - 3D Environment Art and Level Design - Quest 2 #vr #shorts Bilgehan Bölek
Rollershoot is a casual fantasy VR shooter developed for Meta Quest 2 between the end of 2023 and early 2026.
I worked as the Lead Environment Artist and Level Designer at Beren Studio, where I shaped the project’s overall visual and environmental direction. My contributions covered a wide range of areas, including game concept development, environment design, 3D environment art, level design, and lighting. I also supported ideation on enemy design and provided continuous creative guidance throughout the production process. It's a semi-realistic / stylized game.
The game is built around four distinct thematic worlds: Ice, Forest, Sand/Egyptian, and Lava (later reimagined as Space), each consisting of five unique levels. In addition, I designed and developed the main menu environment as part of the complete experience.
A major focus of the project was delivering a smooth and responsive experience on standalone VR hardware. Each environment was carefully optimized to maintain 120+ FPS during gameplay, while preserving visual clarity and cohesion. The main menu scene was optimized to run at a minimum of 60 FPS.
The project was developed using Unity with the Universal Render Pipeline (URP), specifically targeting standalone VR platforms such as Meta Quest 2.
