Sentido (en) Común - Un documental sobre la revuelta en Chile

En Chile, más de treinta años de protestas ciudadanas en contra de la desigualdad que trajo el modelo económico impuesto en dictadura, resultaron en la histórica revuelta social del 18 de octubre de 2019. El descontento movilizó a millones de personas a salir a las calles a manifestarse durante meses. Frente a la brutal represión y las violaciones de DDHH por parte del gobierno de Sebastián Piñera, una explosión de creatividad popular emergió como respuesta. Los testimonios de diversos manifestantes entrevistados en Santiago de Chile dan forma a un relato que expresa el deseo colectivo de liberarse de la opresión y así construir juntos una sociedad que permita vivir con dignidad.

Sentido (en) Común - A documentary about the riot in Chile

In Chile, more than 30 years of popular protests against the inequality brought by the economic model imposed during the dictatorship culminated in a historic social uprising on October 18, 2019. Discontent mobilised millions of people to go out onto the street and protest for several months. In response to the brutal repression and human rights violations of Sebastian Piñera’s government, there was an explosion of popular creativity. The testimonies of different protestors interviewed in Santiago, Chile, shape a story about the collective desire of a people to liberate themselves from oppression, and in so doing, together create a society where everyone can live with dignity.
