Hanging up on someone is a power move. It gives you the last word, and more often than not, comes with a feeling of catharsis knowing the last impression of whatever dispute you were in the midst of over the phone was left by you.

Some don't like to practice this act as they don't want to come off as rude, while others use it as a go-to tactic in arguments over the line.
