How to tell if your phone has been hacked
Most people think their iPhone or Android is safe, but a manual security audit is the only way to find "digital parasites" hiding in your phone.
In 2026, mobile spyware is more sophisticated than ever, but these three checks will expose it immediately.
First, check for "Invisible Controllers."
On an iPhone, go to Settings - General - VPN & Device Management.
If you see a "Configuration Profile" that you didn't personally install for work or school,
a hacker can have a literal "Backdoor" to monitor your screen and traffic.
On Android, check Settings - Security - Device Admin Apps for any unknown apps with system-level control.
Second, hunt for the "Data Bleed."
Go to Settings - Cellular (or Mobile Data) and scroll down to the app list.
If you see an app you rarely use or a "System Service" consuming gigabytes of data,
it’s likely a "Data Exfiltrator" sending your photos and messages to a remote server.
To see exactly who your apps are talking to, go to Settings - Privacy & Security - App Privacy Report and check "Network Activity."
Third, audit your "Hardware Traps." Go to Settings - Privacy & Security and tap on Microphone and Camera.
If a random utility or game has permission to access these, they could be recording you in the background.
Finally, look at your Battery Usage in Settings.
If your "Screen Off" usage is high and the phone feels hot while idling, something can run a "Malicious Loop" in the background.
But remember this video is strictly for educational purposes only, so research
a profile before you delete it to avoid locking yourself out and do your research if you find something suspicious.
