Wild Boar Sows & Piglets Being Fed, Lithuania

As part of an on-going project to demonstrate how wild boars with sufficient access to food will stay in one place and not damage crops, this sounder of sows and piglets are fed apples, potatoes, grain and other food daily by local hunter and wild boar fanatic, Dr Vaclovas Straukas. The food is provided by local farmers and hunters. Dr Straukas is the only person who approaches the boars. They are now so familiar with him, they allow him to pick up piglets and rub their fur. Some also eat from his hand!

Please note that this is amateur footage. While the quality is low in some places, the antics of the boars and their interactions with Dr Straukas are worth watching.
