As I was waiting for my turn to perform, all my emotions took over. I was nervous as I didn't practice enough, scared that I would crumble under the pressure. You thought it might be easier for someone who already hosts live streams, but that was not the case at all. As I looked around, I could see the spotlights and enormous amplifiers; sound engineers, producers, and camera operators, all working together. The audience looked at the stage with eager eyes, waiting for the next performance to bring the stage to life.
I would be that performance.
The stakes were higher than ever. Something must go wrong, I thought. Maybe, the camera would fail to record? Maybe the piano was not set up properly? Would I make a mistake so terrible that I would walk off the stage in shame? At the center of the stage, the piano sat alone, like an intimidating beast, waiting to be tamed.
Perhaps it was fortunate that the previous performance ended before I could worry too much. I slowly walked up the steps and stepped on to the stage.
"HALCYON!"
I turned my head towards the crowd. I saw people that I've never met before, total strangers, looking back at me and cheering. I smiled back. It was not a forced smile, but a sincere one that came from my heart. I realized I wasn't alone. I've brought people together through my music. They have given me all their support, the least I could do was to enjoy the moment and give them my best in return.
Slowly but surely, I walked towards the piano. It didn't seem so intimidating anymore. I didn't care about mistakes any more. I was determined and fearless. I sat down, took a deep breath, and played with everything I've got.
Then began of the best 10 minutes of my life.

This performance would have never been possible without @Narutee the Fodder Pianist, who reached out to EOY on my behalf; and you, my subscribers, who have been with me every step along the way. A big thank you also to everyone who came to see my performance.
2019 has been an amazing year, and I know 2020 will be even better.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time.
