00:22 – 5* Bera AlanyaThis hotel has been around for some time and is very popular with the locals. It has separate swimming pools for men and women. The women’s pool is actually on the hotel rooftop! But the beach is not private and is shared with other hotels. Th hotel has very good separate spa services as well and has indoor jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, swimming pool and massage services. You have to pay for a massage and price for a normal massage for 30 minutes costs 150TL (approx. £21) but you can haggle down to 100TL (approx. £14). There is also a games room for the kids and a generous buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a masjid in the hotel with its own full-time imam and they perform all daily salah in the masjid.The negative points about this hotel is that it is quite old and has not been refurbished so the state of the rooms is slightly dilapidated. And secondly and most annoyingly of which you can tell from the video is that the neighbouring hotel blasts the music from dawn and way beyond dusk and can disrupt your stay.
02:12 5* Selge Beach Resort & SpaThis hotel is one of the biggest in Antalya and hosts up to 1700 rooms and made headlines when the owners decided to change the hotel to all-halal by installing a wall in the middle of the swimming pool allowing for the men and women to have separate swimming facilities. It is very organised and the resort has many out buildings hosting different events for the whole family especially the big waterslides! It has its own masjid and its own beach area but other tourists may venture across the beach.
03:41 4* Grand Akca Resort HotelThis is the furthest hotel in Antalya and will take over 2 hours to get to if you travelling via Antalya (AYT) Airport. The closest airport to this hotel is Gazipasa airport which is approximately 35 minutes’ drive away. Due to its location, there are less tourists in this area and hence you get much more space and privacy in the beaches. The beach is actually across the road and is about 3 minutes’ walk from the hotel. This is a small hotel and the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard and has a lovely air feeling to it!
As with majority if not all of the hotels in Turkey, music is always an issue but choosing your hotel carefully making sure that there are away from the more touristy areas helps in making sure that you enjoy your halal holiday.
