With numerous centers all over the country, SDI makes a focused effort to train the youth of India in various Industrial areas, thus enabling employment opportunities. SKILL INDIA, the dream project of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that is driven under the guidance of the Central Petroleum and Natural Gas ministry, with the support of various government Public sector Organisations like Bharat Petroleum Corporation, ONGC, GAlL, INDIAN OlL, HINDUSTHAN PETROLEUM, OlL INDIA LIMITED, ElL, BALMER LAWRIES and Laurey, all over India has Skill development centres at Angamaly, as well as at Bhuvaneshwar , Vishakapattanam, Raebareli, Ahmedabad & Guwahati.
4 courses are currently being handled at the SDI centre running at INKEL Business Park, Near TELK Angamaly –
Industrial Electrician (Oil & Gas), Industrial Welder (Oil & Gas), Industrial Fitter Fabrication, and Process Instrumentation.
NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation), the pioneers in the field of technical training that arose from the India Swiss cooperation, is in-charge of conducting the Angamaly SDI classes.
Daily classes start with a yoga session followed by assembly, class room & practical training to sports training in the evenings. Food, Studies and Accommodation is completely free. The only payment to be made for this course, which would otherwise cost around 1 lakh, is Rs.5000 alone. Excellent sports grounds and trainers have been arranged for sports activities.

Training standards will be enhanced by initiatives like English Communication training, Yoga sessions and Computer classes. There will be Personal Development classes, Safety sessions conducted every week. Classes will be from 8 in the morning to 5 in the evening, with breaks for lunch and tea. There will be special uniforms for the yoga class, regular classes and Electric Welding lab sessions.

Candidates get trained at modern training labs, with comfortable smart class rooms, in a systematic and disciplined manner. Those who successfully complete the training will be certified by the NSDC [National Skill Development Corporation} through an assessment examination. On completion, students are assured of employment opportunity. This is the SDI promise.
