We had a play date at Church this morning

We had a play date at Church this morning. Much needed for his soul but not for his body. We will be taking a break from the public. We got back our Blood work from yesterday - 💚 Key Highlights Good News: • Hemoglobin (Hgb) 11.0 — This is much better than the very low levels we’ve seen before. His body is making new red blood cells. • Reticulocyte 2.5% (High) — This is a positive sign. His bone marrow is actively working to produce new red blood cells. • Platelets 356 — Solid and within normal range. • Liver enzymes (ALT 21, AST 26) are normal. • No major chemistry red flags. Areas Still Low / Needing Monitoring: • WBC 3.5 (Low) — Overall white blood cell count is still suppressed. • Absolute Neutrophils 1.44 (Low) — Just below the normal range. This means his infection-fighting ability is still reduced, so we need to continue being careful with germs. • Absolute Lymphocytes 1.54 (Low) — Also lower than normal. • A few electrolytes are slightly off (high chloride, low CO2, low osmolality), but nothing critical. What This Means Right Now Gardner’s bone marrow is beginning to recover and produce new blood cells while he’s on the Blina bag. This is exactly what we want to see. The fact that his hemoglobin is holding at 11.0 and his reticulocytes are elevated shows his body is responding. However, his white cells (especially neutrophils) are still low, which is common during this phase of treatment. This is why we’re still being very careful about germs and why we’ll continue monitoring closely. #leukemia #GardnerStrong #cancer
