Going Off Grid Ep 12 - Framing out the Shed & Mezzanine Floor

It's been a while since the last update (Since we finished the shed build). A lot has been happening for us. In brief we sold our house in Townsville QLD and moved all our belongings to our new property. That was a bit of an effort. We also has to fix a few issues with our beloved house of 22.5 years before the sale. So many fantastic family memories! The kids have grown up and moved on, so now we are on our new adventure, full time living off the grid on our new 4.5 acre bush property. We have an endless list of jobs to do.

In this video Judy and I framed out our walls and put in the Mezzanine floor. The timber is treated pine framing (Termite treated I'm told), 75x35 and 90 x 40mm for the load bearing walls. I really closed up the stud spacing between 400 to 450mm. I used bugle headed screws as they are super strong and easy to use (and I have a sore shoulder from hammering previously).

Thanks for watching!
Regards Scott and Judy
