Close to You - Ukulele Tutorial & Cover (Play Along) w/ LYRICS & CHORDS - Easy Key - The Carpenters

This video is Ukulele tutorial and cover of "(They Long to Be) Close to You". The key is transposed to C so it is easy to play with Ukulele.

First part of the video is the tutorial. I cover all chords first. Chords used are: F, Fadd9, Fmaj7, Dm, C6, Cmaj7, C7, Em, Em7, E7sus4, E7, A7, and G (None of these chords are strenuous to play). Then I explain the "Shuffle" rhythm, and show the strumming patterns. And I explain some terminology.

Second part is the song cover. I play the Ukulele and sing the song. The song cover accompanies with LYRICS and CHORD diagrams in timely manner so it can be used as PLAY ALONG for practice.

This song was written by Burt Bacharach (lyrics by Hal David) and made famous by The Carpenters in 1970.
