How To Pump Out Flooded Crawl Space

A flooded crawl space needs immediate attention. Standing water in your crawl space will cause damage, both structural and environmental. Here's a simple and fast way to remove the water. Then you can install a permanent sump pump .

1st you need to get your pump and temporary flexible discharge hose.

Set up a 5 gallon bucket as your temporary sump pit. Drill holes all around the bucket so water can easily flow into the bucket.

Dig a small hole wide enough and deep enough to set your bucket in with the sump pump.

Extend your flexible discharge hose to the outside.
Put your extension cord up high to keep it out of the water and plug it in.

If you are using a good 1/3 horsepower sump pump, it will pump 40 to 60 gals per minute.

The water will be gone.
