■ INDIA, RAJASTHAN: Before epic Rajasthani fort excursions can take place, one must first procure one to ride. So on our first day in Udaipur we set about finding a place to hire one. As that inevitably meant wandering around the city for an hour or two we took the opportunity to see what the people who live in Udaipur, one of Rajasthan's biggest cities, were like. True to form they were as colorful in their style of dress and as chatty as the people in the neighboring cities of Jodphur and Jaipur.
