St John Ambulance service fails overnight, 61 triple zero calls abandoned in NT | ABC NEWS

The St John ambulance service in the Northern Territory says it reached a critical failure point overnight, as it was forced to abandon more than 40 per cent of Triple Zero calls across Darwin and Palmerston.

The service says while no-one died as a result, for the first time, St John declared an Operational Capacity White which means it could not meet demands for the service, with a high chance of harm to patients or staff. Courtney Barrett-Peters has this report for ABC News Northern Territory.
