Find the Middle: Fold your macrame cord in half to find the center point.

Make a Standard Loop: Drape the folded midpoint of the cord behind your dowel or ring, letting the loop hang down over the front.

Pull Through: Take your two working ends, push them through the center of the loop, and pull tight. This creates a standard lark's head knot.

Wrap Behind: Take both working ends and wrap them behind and up over the dowel.

Create a Second Loop: Thread the working ends down through the horizontal loops resting on the front of the dowel.

Secure the Knot: Pull the cords downward firmly to lock everything in place.
