Palo Duro Canyon State Park During Summer!

Join us as we do something we've been putting off for.a while now... camp in Palo Duro Canyon State Park near Canyon, Texas during the summer. 😁 Located South of Amarillo TX in the amazing Texas Panhandle, Palo Duro Canyon is the second largest canyon in the contiguous US (only the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Waimea Canyon in Hawaii are larger). As you can imagine, it can get really hot on the canyon floor of Palo Duro, but there are some things you can only do there between June and August!

We take you along as we hike the famous Lighthouse Trail and several other trails in the canyon, take in the summer musical "Texas" that's been entertaining folks since 1960 at the amphitheater inside the state park, and visit the nearby town of Canyon to see the often recommended Panhandle Plains Museum!
