About Dr. Meier:

Diane E. Meier, MD, FACP, FAAHPM, is CEO of the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) (capc.org), a national organization devoted to increasing access to quality palliative care for people living with a serious illness and their families in the United States. The Center (CAPC) is located in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Under her leadership the number of palliative care programs in U.S. hospitals has more than tripled in the last 10 years.
