ELVIS PRESLEY - HURT

Written in 1954 by Jimmie Crane and Al Jacobs.
Recorded and released by Elvis in 1976 as the 1st track of his album "From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee"
Elvis's performance of this song was described as "apocalyptic" and some fellow said: "If he felt the way he sounded, the wonder isn't that he had only a year left to live, but that he managed to survive that long."
Elvis performed the song on stage 159 times.
In Birmingham, Alabama, Pittsburgh, and Chicago, he ended it by going to the floor intentionally while simultaneously delivering a seven-second uninterrupted note.

I'm so hurt to think that you lied to me
I'm hurt way down deep inside of me
You said our love was true and we'll never, never part
Now you want someone new and it breaks my heart

I'm hurt, much more than you'll ever know
Yes, darling, I'm so hurt because I still love you so
But even though you hurt me like nobody else could ever do
I would never ever hurt you, oh you, no you
