Groundbreaking Space Discoveries DOCUMENTARY Cosmology, Gravity and Weird Galaxies

We are now living in exciting times. The dawn of cosmology not only changed the way we look at the stars but challenged the way we see our existence and our place in the Universe. There are more than 10 billion galaxies in the observable Universe; on average, they contain more than 100 billion stars. Thanks to advances in technology, we can now see some of the most beautiful galaxies in the Universe in more detail than ever before. Amid this new era of space discovery, exciting discoveries are being made daily.

A galaxy is a huge collection of gas, dust, and billions of stars and their solar systems, all held together by gravity. We live on a planet called Earth that is part of our solar system. But where is our solar system? It’s a small part of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Gravitation, is a natural phenomenon by which all things with mass or energy—including planets, stars, galaxies, and even light —are brought toward (or gravitate toward) one another. On Earth, gravity gives weight to physical objects, and the Moon's gravity causes the ocean tides. The gravitational attraction of the original gaseous matter present in the Universe caused it to begin coalescing and forming stars and caused the stars to group together into galaxies,
