Trap Drums EXPLAINED | If you want some tips and tricks, as well as an in-depth look at why some trap drums work, and other types of drums don’t, today’s video is for you. I am going to be showing you some things that you absolutely should consider when picking out your drums for your trap beat, as well as some in-depth analysis on what makes a drum a “good” drum, and what doesn’t.

I take you through the common elements of trap drums, such as 808s, kicks, snares, claps and some of the typical trap percussion - as well as breaking down what makes these sounds unique from other types of drum textures commonly found in other types of beats.

Even though I made this video in FL Studio, these concepts apply if you make your beats in Ableton, Logic, Garageband, Maschine, or any other DAW that you use!
