My Gendex 9200 DDE MOTOR FAILURE- Ebay or BUILD YOUR OWN

So Gendex stopped supporting my ten year old digital pan/ceph. Apparently the motors that control the rotation of the panorex and ceph break quite frequently. So what to do now?? Buy a used piece of garbage on Ebay? Maybe it will work, maybe it wont. Its not the sellers fault, there is a reason someone got rid of that machine in the first place.
