Mountain trails through the Cospán District, Peru ⛰️🇵🇪 🌎🏍

This high pass linking the tiny villages in the Cospán district, south of Cajamarca, was the first easy trail after a few days of struggling through the rain and mud.

After a landslide and heavy rains made the only way out impassable, I was warmly welcomed in by a local farmer while I waited for things to dry up.

The evening was spent digging and building a new way through with the locals ready for the morning, followed by drinking beers and chewing coca leaves into the night.
