I got a pet Squirrel?! Cute squirrel eats a nut

Hey guys, it's Phil,
To make a long story short:
-My brother found a squirrel on a tree that lost its mother
-We had our fun with it a decided to let it go
-Hours later we found it sitting in our garden shivering in the cold
-We felt bad so we took him in
-We raised him for a while
-We eventually decided to build him a home in the wild
-To get started he kept coming back for food and he would come back less and less every time
-After a few months he is now able to support himself and find his own food
-He no longer comes back :(
-His name is Jeffrey
