Bus Driver Saves Mother and Child from Suicide Attempt

A quick-thinking bus driver from China's Guangzhou has rescued a mother and her child from what apparently was a suicide attempt.

The man, named Zhang, saw that the woman was acting strange on the side of the road. He quickly stopped, jumped off his seat, and pulled the child and the mother into the bus with help from passengers.

"The woman was very emotional at the time, and the child was also scared and started to cry", Zhang said later. "I used a gentle tone to comfort them and tell them not to be afraid".

Now that the two are safe, the mother is reportedly being checked by doctors.
